The Clark County Executive Horse Council sponsors many fine programs, and one of them is the Adopt-A-Horse Program. The CCEHC Adopt-A-Horse program was created to accommodate area horses that are in dire need.
We have a network of several homes throughout Clark County that will foster a horse or horses for a temporary period of time until a suitable permanent home can be found for the horse. The foster caregiver would provide scheduled meals, turnout, grooming, blanketing, meeting veterinarian and farrier at scheduled appointment times, and general well care. The care items would include feed, hoof trims, teeth floating, deworming, veterinary attention, vaccinations, post castration care, blankets, halters and lead ropes.
We are located in Clark County, WA, just north of Portland, Oregon. We prefer to adopt out locally as we do pre-adoption inspections on the homes that wish to adopt one of our fosters.

Angel is one of our most recent cases, a 25-year-old mini. When she first came to us we thought her outlook was pretty grim, but thanks to the outstanding care by her foster family she is improving everyday and we are cautiously optimistic she will make a full recovery. Nothing like good grub and care to turn this precious girl around.
